Yoda is THE Jedi Grand Master in Georges Lucas’s epic space opera: Star Wars. He appears in 5 of the 6 movies (I, II, III, V et VI). He materializes mainly in two places of the real world.

Yoda est LE grand maître Jedi du space-opera Star Wars imaginé et réalisé par Georges Lucas. Il apparaît dans cinq épisodes sur les six que compte la saga (I, II, III, V et VI). Il se matérialise principalement à deux endroits de la surface terrestre.

Le monde physique

In extremis, une invitation pour l’exposition Le monde physique  avec des œuvres  inspirées de données ou cartes  géologiques,  climatologiques … Centre d’Art contemporain La Galerie à Noisy-le-Sec. Attention cela se termine le samedi 23 avril.

Tourists – Hanson

Duane Hanson ( 1925-1996 ) is an American sculptor known for the realistic and life-sized works of people he created with various materials (polyester resin, fiberglass, bronze, Bondo). His work is associated with hyperrealism and Pop Art movement. One of these works, Tourists, represents a couple of tourists, caricatures of the stereotypical American tourists. Duane Hanson (1925-1996) est un artiste américain, sculpteur connu pour ses œuvres réalistes grandeur nature de personnes, représentés à l’aide de matériaux divers (résine de polyester, fibre de verre, bronze, Bondo). Son travail est souvent associé au courant de l’hyperréalisme et au mouvement Pop Art. L’une de ces œuvres, Les touristes, représente un couple de touristes, caricatures du stéréotype des touristes américains. The Little Prince created by Saint-Exupery has become a universal character. Translated into more than 200 languages, the poetic and philosophical tale written by the French aviator touches the hearts of people all around the world. Were you aware he left his planet to materialize on the Earth ? Do you want to know where and why?

Le Petit Prince de Saint-Exupéry est devenu un personnage universel. Traduit en plus de 200 langues, le conte poético-philosophique de l’aviateur français atteint visiblement quelque chose de profondément ancré chez tous les hommes. Il semblerait bien qu’il ait quitté sa planète pour se matérialiser sur la nôtre. Mais où précisément et pourquoi?

The stairs in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art are very famous as the training ground of  Rocky Balboa, in the 1976 movie Rocky, directed by John G. Avildsen. The stairs appear successively in Rocky II (directed by Sylverster Stallone in 1979), Rocky III (Sylverster Stallone, 1985), Rocky V (John G. Avildsen, 1990) and Rocky Balboa (Sylverster Stallone, 2006). The stairs could be considered as a materialization of the fiction as some people call it now Rocky Steps but we will focus on the bronze statue of Rocky, work of the American artist A. Thomas Schomberg, that Stallone offered to the city in 1982.

Devant le Philadelphia Museum of Art se dresse un escalier rendu célèbre comme terrain d’entraînement, de Rocky Balboa, dans le film Rocky de John G. Avildsen, sorti en 1976. Cet escalier apparait successivement dans Rocky II (Sylverster Stallone, 1976), Rocky III (Sylverster Stallone, 1985) , Rocky V (John G. Avildsen, 1990) et Rocky Balboa (Sylverster Stallone, 2006). L’escalier pourrait être considéré comme une matérialisation de la fiction puisque certains l’appellent maintenant le Rocky Steps. Mais nous nous intéresserons plutôt à la statue de bronze, œuvre de l’artiste américain A. Thomas Schomberg, offerte à la ville  en 1982 par Stallone lui-même.
